We feature here various students from Institutes of
Technical Education, Junior Colleges and Secondary Schools across the island.
Their stories have been selected from a host of entries for the Rotary Club of Changi's Community Spirit Awards for students. Started in August 2003, the writing contest ran along the theme of giving and receiving, and was titled
[ LEND A HAND ]
- Lessons from our young.
These students reflect on their experiences in community work. They took action in the battle against poverty and disability by reaching out to someone else and often, found their eyes opened to the world right in front of them.
In the end, they show us that no one is too young or too little to make a difference.
